A day after bloodbath, markets open cautious

30-share BSE Sensex made some gains in the pre-opening session to start trading slightly above the psychological mark of 38,000 but slipped under it soon enough. At 9.27 am, the index was down 35 points at 37,887. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty too was in the red and testing the 11,450-mark.
