Why Indian Sikhs need binoculars for darshan across Pakistan border

Sikhs converge in greater numbers from all over India to catch a glimpse of one of the holiest shrines - Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, situated 4.5km inside Pakistan, across the Ravi river. Navjot Singh Sidhu had announced last month that Pakistan’s army chief had assured of plans to open the route for the shrine.
