‘A game of chicken’: US and China are risking a clash at sea

For a while a collision between a Chinese warship and US destroyer seemed imminent after the former raced up alongside the latter, getting perilously close. The warship had just minutes ago warned the destroyer that it was on a ‘dangerous course’. The warship even ignored warning whistles by the destroyer. They were “trying to push us out of the way,” a US sailor said.
