IRCTC to offer Rs 50L free air travel insurance

Currently, about 5,000 to 6,000 air tickets are booked through IRCTC. Travel portals charge a processing fee of up to Rs 200 per ticket but IRCTC charges only Rs 50 and does not impose any charges for cancellation. The free insurance scheme will be for all air travellers, domestic or international, irrespective of the class of ticket. IRCTC will soon offer hotel bookings.
