Woman who entered Sabarimala beaten up by kin

Kanakadurga was beaten by her mother-in-law by a wooden plank. She was taken to the hospital in the Malappuram district, Kerala after she suffered minor injuries to head. Perinthalmanna police registered a case in connection with the incident. Kanakadurga, who is from an orthodox Nair family had drawn the ire of her relatives for her visit to Sabarimala.
